I'm Lauren Jane Eling, an artist and illustrator from Leicestershire, currently based in Leeds.
I create whimsical, character and narrative based illustrations using a combination of 3D and 2D processes. I love embodying and bringing my characters to life through costumes and puppets.
I studied Illustration at Leeds Arts University where I produced a range of puppets, costumes and books. I have a passion for animation, film and theater and I carry this into the artwork I produce.
I have worked as an artist manager and illustrator for UKREiiF on an art exhibition at The Royal Armouries in Leeds. I have volunteered the past two years at Birmingham Design Festival and having recently been added to the Delivery Team, I am excited to be more involved in the event. I have and continue to take part in exhibitions and art markets. Some exhibitions I have done previously are, Hyde Park Book Club's Togetherness exhibition in 2025, Leicester Museum and Gallery's Open Exhibition in 2024 and Made It at Leeds Arts University in 2025.
