Description
This is a mock book cover I made for the children’s story Thumbelina. I incorporated elements of ceramics and cyanotype to create this design. I wanted it to be decorative and have subtle hints to the plot rather than having the cover display the characters. The Daisy on the front refers to the act of picking a daisies petals and asking he loves me, he loves me not. I thought this would be good to symbolise Thumbelina’s romantic focus in the plot and how she is constantly being picked at by the villains of the story like a daisy loosing its petals.
