Description
In this project I collaborated with Charlie Smith to create character designs for her stop motion film Gelert The Faithful Hound. Based on the Welsh folk tale, her documentary needed designs that could be conveyed through black and white paper cut animation inspired by Lottie Reiniger. This meant converting my original drawings into two dimensional black silhouettes that were interesting in design but simple in shape. They had to be simple but effective.
