Riding Hood

This project combined costume making, puppet making and book making. In researching the way we interpret puppets and costumes based on their design, I created this project re-imagining Little Red Riding Hood's characters through puppets and costumes. I portrayed the characters in a way which was inspired by folk art and puppet theater but also by the origins of the tale and its themes of violence against women.

My book The Puppet Project, contains quotes from my research alongside imagery of the work I had produced which flips to change the viewers perception of the characters.
